The oval-shaped Jewish ring is composed of a carnelian intaglio attributable to Roman production of the 2nd century, which is set in a 22-karat yellow gold setting, dating back to the 1950s or 1960s. The carnelian intaglio features the engraving of the Jewish Menorah, the seven-armed candelabra symbolizing divine light spreading, the days of the Creation of the Universe, but also symbolizes the presence of God or the planetary system. The intaglio, in addition to showing excellent conservative conditions, is characterized by a high engraving quality and a setting that, in its simplicity, best enhances the shape and refinement of the carnelian. It is possible to compare the ring with Jeffrey Spier, Late Antique and Early Christian gems, plate 121 n. 947 ss.
