L’anello del II secolo ha una montatura in oro con due scanalature e globuli d’oro saldati alla giunzione superiore, dove è incastonato un cammeo romano in agata, raffigurante un pesce. Si tratta di un soggetto che ebbe diffusione nei primi anelli cristiani di epoca romana, dove il nome greco del pesce ICHTHYS era diventato acronimo di Cristo e divenne simbolo dei suoi seguaci nel periodo delle persecuzioni. Il cammeo è inserito in una montatura circolare con una piccola scanalatura e si tratta di uno stile compatibile con anelli rinvenuti negli scavi di Pompei. Un anello con la medesima iconografia, inoltre, è pubblicato nel catalogo «Rings. Jewelry of power, love and loyalty» a cura di D. Scarisbrick (pag. 131).

The 2nd century ring has a gold frame with two grooves and gold globules welded to the upper junction, where is set a Roman cameo in agate, depicting a fish. This is a subject that was widespread in the early Christian rings of Roman times, where the Greek name of the fish ICHTHYS had become an acronym for Christ and became a symbol of his followers during the period of persecution. The cameo is inserted in a circular frame with a small groove and it is a style compatible with rings found in the excavations of Pompeii. A ring with the same iconography is also published in the catalogue «Rings. Jewelry of power, love and loyalty» by D. Scarisbrick (p. 131).
