L’anello è caratterizzato da una montatura contemporanea in oro giallo in cui è incastonato un cammeo in agata rosa di epoca romana, databile al III-IV secolo. Il cammeo, in particolare, raffigura due putti, riconoscibili dalle piccole ali sulla schiena, ritratti in un momento giocoso come si può dedurre dalla loro posa con braccia alzate, mentre ai loro piedi è appoggiata una cesta presumibilmente contenente della frutta. La montatura in oro, invece, è impreziosita da alcuni dettagli come le scanalature ai lati del gambo dell’anello, il quale termina con tre losanghe che si raccordano alle scanalature forgiate al di sotto dell’agata stessa; colpisce, allo stesso modo, l’abilità dell’incisore nell’aver saputo sfruttare le diverse screziature di rosa per mettere in risalto i dettagli della raffigurazione. 

The ring features a contemporary yellow gold setting featuring a Roman-era pink agate cameo dating to the 3rd-4th century. The cameo, in particular, depicts two putti, recognizable by the small wings on their backs, portrayed in a playful moment as can be deduced from their pose with raised arms, while at their feet rests a basket presumably containing fruit. The gold frame, however, is embellished with details such as the grooves on the sides of the ring shank, which ends with three lozenges that connect to the grooves forged beneath the agate itself; similarly, the engraver's skill in exploiting the various rose streaks to highlight the details of the depiction is remarkable.
