The ring, dated to the late 19th century, is characterised by a sumptuous 22-karat yellow gold setting in which is set, in the centre, a cabochon sapphire of approximately 3 carats. The ring's peculiarity lies in its particularly decorative neo-Renaissance frame, as it was created during the nineteenth century, when great fervour spread towards ancient artistic and goldsmith styles and techniques. The frame, therefore, presents two figures, one male and one female, placed on the sides of the stem of the ring, which are depicted partially naked and half-length, in fact, in the lower part of the body there are masks, a typically Renaissance element, from which a leaf motif develops that adorns the lower part of the stem.
