Un anello di produzione romana, databile intorno al I-III secolo, con al centro un granato cabochon. La montatura a fascia è impreziosita da un fine motivo a filigrana, completata nella parte superiore da due serpenti che, nell’Antica Roma, hanno sempre avuto un’accezione e un ruolo protettivo; il granato, ugualmente, ha sempre stato considerato un talismano protettivo e un amuleto per il coraggio e la forza interiore.

A Roman ring, dated around the 1st-3rd century, with a garnet cabochon in the center. A fine filigree motif adorns the frame of the sash and two snakes at the top complete it, which were always associated with protection in ancient Rome. The garnet, likewise, has always been considered a protective talisman and an amulet for courage and inner strength.
