L’anello è realizzato in oro e argento e presenta un intaglio in corniola raffigurante 4 simboli religiosi, legati alla Cristianità: il fuoco, simbolo dello Spirito Santo e della purificazione; il bastone pastorale simbolo di Cristo “Buon pastore”, chiamato così nella parabola di Giovanni 10:1–21, dove Gesù viene descritto come un pastore intenzionato a sacrificare la propria vita per le sue pecore, inoltre, il bastone pastorale viene usato dai vescovi in quanto successori degli apostoli, con il compito di guidare la comunità cristiana. Il terzo simbolo che figura è quello di un’ampolla, associabile alla reliquia che conterrebbe il sangue di Cristo e che è conservato in molteplici luoghi. Infine, l’intaglio si conclude con l’incisione di un’ostia eucaristica, simbolo del corpo di Cristo, simbolo visibile e concreto della sua presenza.

The ring is made of gold and silver and has a carnelian intaglio depicting 4 religious symbols, linked to Christianity: fire, symbol of the Holy Spirit and purification; the pastoral stick symbolizes Christ "the Good Shepherd", so called in the parable of John 10:1–21, where Jesus is described as a shepherd willing to sacrifice his life for his sheep, in addition, the pastoral staff is used by bishops as successors of the apostles, with the task of guiding the Christian community. The third symbol that appears is that of an ampoule, which can be associated with the relic that would contain the blood of Christ and which is kept in many places. Finally, the carving ends with the engraving of a Eucharistic host, a symbol of the body of Christ, a visible and concrete symbol of his presence.
