Il cammeo, in particolare, presenta una graziosa raffigurazione di Cupido seduto a terra, riconoscibile dalle piccole ali che si scorgono sulla schiena e colto mentre sembra aggiustare la sua faretra, ovvero l’astuccio che custodisce le sue preziose frecce.

This hard stone cameo of Roman production dates back to the 2nd-3rd century and is inserted in a contemporary gold and silver setting. The cameo, in particular, presents a graceful depiction of Cupid sitting on the ground, recognizable by the small wings that can be seen on his back and caught while he seems to fix his quiver, the case that holds his precious arrows.
