Description

The bracelet dates to the 1860s, when the neo-archaeological style developed, promoted by the Castellani goldsmith family and characterized by a revival of the decorations and technical skills of Etruscan art. This bracelet, in fact, is distinguished by an 18-karat yellow gold setting to which a very fine filigree has been applied, giving rise to a geometric motif that unfolds along the entire bracelet and, on the front, alternates with simple floral motifs. The upper part of the bracelet is also further embellished by the addition of three Rubrum coral spheres, the highest quality coral, characterised by the liveliness and intensity of its colour. The larger central sphere is placed inside a further projecting gold decoration, where geometric filigrees alternate with gold beads on which small circles are applied that give the sense of a floral decoration. The bracelet appears to be in perfect conservative condition, and its extremely high technical skill is evident, which has allowed the creation of an admirable jewellery object.
