The 19th-century ring features an agate cameo set in an 18-karat yellow gold setting. The cameo features the engraving of a courtly male profile, as can be seen from the toga and the placing of the laurel wreath on his head, a symbol of wisdom, glory and victory and an element that leads to the interpretation of the man as a prominent figure in politics or literature. The cameo features a high degree of incisional quality that allowed for the effective definition of the main somatic features, such as the hair and beard, which are meticulously described in this pure white layer that stands out against a contrasting blush pink background.
