Description

This delightful pair of earrings from the 1910s feature an 18k yellow gold setting inside which two harnessed horse heads facing each other have been hand-painted with enamels, which are also protected by reverse-carved rock crystal. The two horse heads are rendered with absolute naturalness and attention to detail, as can be seen from the different rendering of the manes and the attention to the rendering of the eyes, testifying to a great manual and miniaturistic skill since the dimensions of these earrings and, in particular, of the decorations, are minute. Completing these earrings is a millegrane finish arranged in the inner perimeter of the gold setting and mother-of-pearl that serves as a background against which the two horse heads stand out, helping to make these earrings delightful and unique.
