The rock crystal pendant, dated to the 1970s, realistically imitates a hand, whose thumb is enclosed between the index and middle fingers. This type of pendant is called manus fica (although they are also known as Higa or Figa), since they follow an iconography that has spread in Etruscan and Roman culture, according to which this gesture had an apotropaic value, in fact, it was considered an amulet against the evil eye, bad luck and evil spirits. In this case, the hand that constitutes the pendant is further adorned with a ring and a bracelet in which rubies and diamonds are set, also repeated in the upper area of the hood where the eyelet is welded.
