Rectangular brooch, set in 750/1000 yellow gold in the shape of a frame, with a chiseled foliage decoration supporting a black glass plate decorated with a spaniel lying in the grass in micromosaic. The back is decorated with a gold suspension hook at the bottom. Italian work from around 1840.

Note: The reclining dog motif is inspired by the micromosaics of Antonio Aguatti, known as AQUATTI, one of the most famous micromosaic masters of the Vatican's Roman workshops, whose workshop was located at 96 Place d'Espagne in Rome.
