L’anello, realizzato in oro 18 carati e argento brunito, presenta un’agata grigia databile alla fine del XVIII secolo, sulla quale è inciso un airone. Oltre al buono stato di conservazione, merita attenzione la raffigurazione dell’airone, animale considerato sacro nell’Antico Egitto poiché rappresentava il passaggio dalla vita terrena a quella ultraterrena e costituisce un soggetto iconografico poco frequente.

The ring, made of 18k gold and blackened silver, features a gray agate dating back to the end of the 18th century, on which a heron is engraved. In addition to its good state of conservation, the heron is an animal considered sacred in Ancient Egypt because it represented the transition from earthly life to afterlife and constitutes an unusual iconographic subject.
