Description

The pendant, dated to around the 1860s, is made in neo-archaeological style. It features a sumptuous 18-karat gold setting, finely crafted with filigree and granulation details, typical of the Etruscan-Roman era, and interwoven leaves and vine sprouts. The pendant holds a Florentine commesso in the centre depicting cut flowers, a floral iconography in line with the decoration of the frame and created thanks to the semiprecious stone intarsia. As evident from the back of the pendant, this piece of jewellery can also be worn as a brooch thanks to the presence of a needle that makes it extremely versatile.
