Description

The late 19^th century bracelet features a rigid 18-karat yellow gold frame, complete with a hinge that allows it to be opened for comfortable wear. The frame, essential and bifurcated, is embellished in the centre by the presence of a two-tone agate cameo on which the profile of a young woman is engraved: the mastery of execution of this engraving is striking, extremely realistic and virtuous, as can be seen from the perfect definition of the locks of hair elegantly gathered in a soft, antique-style bun, although they affect in the same way the facial features and the empire-style dress closed by a brooch on the shoulder, which confirms the ancient derivation of this iconography.
