Description
The 19th-century pendant is composed of a lapis lazuli sphere featuring an 18-karat yellow gold frame made in Neo-Renaissance style. Indeed, the metal is worked using filigree and granulation techniques, testifying the great goldsmith's skill. Furthermore, the pendant is completed by a chain featuring an extremely particular link, which is called a rat's tail, characterised by its thickness and, at the same time, its lightness.
