Description
The ring, dating back to the 1970s and featuring an 18k yellow gold and platinum setting, features a splendid oval Burmese ruby in a bright and vibrant colour, further highlighted by the outline of eight antique-cut diamonds that appear to form a flower, a shape encouraged by the platinum setting and fine millegrain decoration which gently enriches the ring. The ring also features an openwork gallery and a yellow gold stem on which rest two platinum cheniered shoulders adorned with three diamonds on each side, details that contribute to giving it an Art Deco charm. The ring is also accompanied by a CAG certificate declaring the Burmese origin of the ruby, which shows no signs of heating and attests to the weight of 1.95 carats of the stone and the total weight of 1.6 carats of the surrounding diamonds.
